Advertising policy
What can and cannot be advertised on Evedust. Every ad is checked by a person before it runs, and you only pay after it is approved. Draft for legal review.
What is welcome
- Events: parties, concerts, shows, fellowship and society programmes, sports days, conferences.
- Food, drinks, fashion, beauty, printing, photography, tutoring, design and other student businesses.
- Products and services that are legal in Nigeria and honest about what they are.
- Schools, programmes, scholarships, internships and jobs that are real.
What is not allowed
- Nudity and sexual content, including suggestive images, escort or adult services, and links to adult sites.
- Drugs: illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medicine sold without a prescription.
- Weapons, explosives and anything made to hurt people.
- Stolen, counterfeit or forged goods, including fake certificates, fake IDs and cloned cards.
- Exam cheating: leaked papers, impersonation, “runs”, and paid assignment-writing passed off as the student’s own.
- Fraud: get-rich-quick, “double your money”, ponzi schemes, fake giveaways, fake loans, and anything asking for advance fees.
- Gambling and betting, unless you are licensed and we have agreed in writing.
- Hate, harassment and threats against any person or group, or content that makes fun of a real, private person.
- Misleading ads: false prices, false claims, pretending to be Evedust, a school or another business.
- Anything illegal in Nigeria, or that breaks the rules of the school where it will be shown.
Your ad must be honest
- The picture and text must show what you really offer, at the price and date you give.
- The link, if any, must go where the ad says it goes.
- You must have the right to use the pictures and words in the ad.
What happens if a rule is broken
We can refuse an ad before it runs, stop it while it is running, and close the advertiser’s account. An ad stopped for breaking this policy is not refunded. Serious cases (fraud, stolen goods, threats) may be reported to the school and the police.
If you think we made a mistake, write to us through the app or at the support address on evedust.com and we will look at it again.
